Zack Haber reads from Horrible Places

Zack Haber is a poet who lives in Oakland. Over the summer he has been making his way across the USA. He stops at places he loves like Chicago and New York. And sometimes he stops at places he doesn’t like like the NRA Museum or a passport office.

Some of us wait for inspiration and some of us go out and find it. The latter, the seeking is a certain wonderful way of writing. Any excuse to write a good writer will find is a sure path to discovery. When Zack was in New York, he stopped over to read from the book he is working on now called Horrible Places. I really like the idea and the title. Horrible Places. The National Firearms Museum at the NRA Headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia is certainly one of them.

at Emily Dickinson’s house, a good place
