Just got this gift this weekend. Years ago I brought the poet Gregory Corso to my friend Patricia Kelly who was always looking for ideas for art. For ten dollars Gregory wrote and signed a poem for Patricia that she would use later on in a sculpture. Patti gave me the framed poem this week. It wasn’t a new poem that Corso wrote on the spot, but a poem he’d written before and memorized. It still remains one of my favorite poems and since Patti gave it to me over the weekend, now it’s mine.
