…
After the gym, I walked into Tompkins Square to sit on a bench and write and read. It is the end of September so the chirring of insects has died away, but there are dogs and children on the run, and then hearing the sound of live music, I followed, and there was Claudi from the band Pinc Louds doing some busker work without the other members, all alone, but happily so.
Below is a Vimeo of the little bit of what I heard Claudi do, and a link afterward where you can find out more about Pinc Louds, and hear some of their music. Enjoy and Explore.
Pinc Louds
The band that “saved summer” ( ABC News, Gothamist ) was born in 2015 when lead singer, Claudi (all pronouns), moved from Puerto Rico to NYC to fulfill her dream of playing in the subway. Two years after arriving, Claudi quit her day job and became a “fixture at the Delancey Street Station” ( New York Times).
