On Friday evening, May 8, at the Loisaida Center, I recorded Noel Quiñones and his family reading in celebration of the publication of his first book, Orange.
La familia included Sean Desvignes, Yesenia Montilla, José Olivarez, Cynthia Malick and Willie Perdomo. The poetry of each reader was a celebration in its own right. Sharing their poems with Quiñones added up to a marvelous evening. Poetry lived (and lives)! All of NYC should have been there. I’m lucky because I was. You are lucky too because you can hear all of the poets in the Vimeo below. Enjoy.
