Visiting Valery Oisteanu

On March 4, Ken Angel Davis and I visited Valery Oisteanu at his lovely apartment that he shares with his wife Ruth overlooking Saint Mark’s Church on First Avenue. I recorded him while he talked about his travels, his life in the East Village since his arrival in 1972, and he also read some of his poetry, including from his recent book, In The Blink Of A Third Eye. I want to return and talk to him about one of his loves (and mine) the artist, Marcel Duchamp. Till then you can hear Valery Oisteanu tell his tales and read his poems in the Vimeo below. Enjoy.
