.I loved Yoko Ono before John Lennon did. I read about her in the school library in 1965 in a Time magazine waiting for the elementary school bus to take me home (I lived way out in the woods and though in high school the bus made the trip once). Yoko had done a performance at Carnegie Hall called Cut Piece where people from the audience came up and cut off a piece of her clothes with a scissors “until she was naked” I thought, and she had me from the thought naked. People who don’t like her (and boy oh boy there are a lot) perhaps don’t feel very comfortable naked. When you’re with Yoko, one way or the other, the clothes are coming off.
