I like making things, and since my husband Akram’s drawings often fit my poems perfectly, I’ve made postcards out of them. In the time of an inundating Internet and a pandemic, postcards are something physical that a friend has taken the time to write, then take to a post office and send.
Words written by hand that are meant are similar to an embrace or a kiss that can be felt for days or years to come. The time is never wasted spent writing to a friend.
Wondrous pairings. Would that these were available for purchase with money. Heart purchased already.
