Ed Friedman and Bob Rosenthal created, coordinated, and curated seven poetry readings at Bowery Poetry on Tuesday nights from January 14th to March the 4th 2025. These readings featured twenty three poets. Most of these poets were already here when I arrived in New York City in 1979 and moved to the East Village precisely because I wanted to be near the Poetry Project at Saint Mark’s Church. It was there that I got to know many of the poets you will hear in the Vimeos below. I am happy and grateful that I was able to record all seven of these readings. There are some really dynamite readings in these readings. Explore and enjoy.
